Pilot project participants have been provided with an initial supply of compostable bags to line their kitchen containers. Only compostable bags can be used as they are designed to break down during the composting process at International Composting Corporation's facility. If a bag is compostable, it will have the "COMPOSTABLE" symbol on the packaging.
You may choose not to use a liner in your kitchen container. Using compostable bags will help keep your kitchen container and green bin clean and help prevent odours, fruit flies and leakage.
Do not use plastic or biodegradable bags.
