Collection and Scheduling
Recycling food waste will reduce household garbage by up to half, resulting in primarily dry waste in your garbage container. Collection and scheduling have been revised as follows:
  • Garbage will be collected once every two weeks.
  • One standard-size container of garbage will be collected.
  • Up to two extra containers of garbage will be collected but a $2 garbage tag must be attached to each additional container.
  • Food waste will be collected weekly with either your garbage or recyclables on your regular collection day. Chartwell residents please refer to your revised collection notice.
  • Please have your green bin, garbage and recyclables at the curbside by 8 a.m. on your collection day.
